15th May 2009 - X-Plane Congress 2009 in France

Hi everybody. I just wanted to notify you, that I will attend the X-Plane Congress in France on May 23rd/24th too! Finally, you can find out, who this alpilotx guy is . You might also find out, what project I am working on at the moment (it is not directly forest related, but forests are part of it too). And to make it - a little bit - easier to recognize me, here is a picture:

17th February 2009: After a short outage of the website because of exceeded traffic limits (well, that is the advertised "unlimited tradffic" ... hrm), I have now moved the download packages to an external file hosting (megaupload.com). The scenery packages are no more divided into 10x10 degree tiles, but can directly be downloaded as one big pack and directly unzipped into the "Custom Scenery" folder (a little extra convenience but bigger download). Please report, if you have problems with the download service!

16th February 2009:Sorry for the inconvenience, but you guys are just pushing all my web hosters to their limits . For that reason, today my account was shortly deactivated until I assured the hoister that I will disable the big downloads. Now, this is not good news for sure, but I did not have any other options on my hand at the moment (and I really don't have the time, nor tthe will to move my site again to a new hoster - just a month after my last move for similar reasons). SO, what will I do? My plan is, to try the free file hosters. In this case, I have just started to move the big ZIP files to  www.megaupload.com.

Of course, I don't know, when my files will arrive ther, nor do I know how downloads will work (but they should, I have already tried that site before). We will also have to see, if free downloads will work there (and for how long), But at least, this has one good aspect from me: I separate the website from the pure download files, and thus I can keep the site up, even if I have to further juggle around with the files.

Now, please bear with me, and I hope to have the files back as soon as possible.

16th January 2009: After an unplanned, but necessary move of my website it is finally going online with a new design (same content) and a new doamin. I hope - for "compatibility" - that I will manage to soon map my old domain www.alpilotx.de to this one too.
